About Team Hydra (FRC 2425)

Team 2425 is the Robotics Team for Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida, founded in 2007 for the 2008 Competition Year. The team has competed in both the FRC ("FIRST Robotics Challenge") competitions (the big robots!) and the FTC ("FIRST Tech Challenge") matches (the smaller robots). In the Late 2008/Early 2009 round of competitions, we are going to compete in the FTC and new Vex competitons, and hope to compete in the 2009 FRC tournaments. (We need money to make it happen!)

Since 2007 we've grown from a handful of students to a team of over twenty, with specialists in everything from drivetrains and programming to photography and fundraising. The Robotics Team has impacted the lives of all of our participants greatly, that is, more than just the lost sleep during the build season. Several of our former members who have graduated have stayed with the team to continue to contribute.
